I rushed into the Admin building of the boarding school I was being sent to by my over-protective mother. After a serial killer had run through our town my mother sent me here to be safe.
The secratary smiled warmly at me, "Yes, deary, how may I help you."
"Um,I'm Cordeila Tyler." I answered, lugging my large suitcase and duffle bag up the desk.
"Yes, we've been waiting for you."
She opened a filing cabnit and pulled out a folder. "In her is your dorm assigment and schuelde.Your books and uniforms are in your room."
I smiled to her and took the folder. There was thankfully a map inside. I followed it to the girls dorm. Passing the athletic building, theater, cafitera, classroom buidling, and boys dorm. There also seemed to be a green where many of the kids were lounging around and eating lunch. All except for a small group of kids. One looked at me. I dared not to return the gaze.
I opened the door to the dorm's doors. The main room had six tv's mounted on the walls and a couch in front of each. With two chiars. Some girls were watching tv and laughing. I walked up the steps and found room 256.
Inside were two beds and desks, a walk-in closet and bathroom.It was nice and warm with a fireplace off to the side. I dropped my heavy bags. Yes there was a uniform, but it said in the handbook, that we could wear other clothes that were in dress code. Meaning, pleated skirts, school blazer, and blouses. With black ballet shoes and stockings. Which was fine by me. Since it was my first day, I was wearing ripped shorts, a white blouse, and a cardigan. I kicked my Converse off and flopped onto the empyt bed.
I opened my duffel bag and put my sheets and comforter on my bed. Then took out my picture frames and set them on the side table. I smiled at the photo of me and my mother. There was laughter in the hall coming closer and closer to my room. The door opened and they laughing girls came into the room. They're were three of them. The girl that opened the door was of average height, she had pale green eyes, and long dark hair. Here two friends were shorter then her one with red hair and few freckles the other was blond.
The girl who opened the door smiled at me, "Hi, you must be my knew roommate, Cordeila Taylor. I'm Ella Row."
"Hi, nice to meet you. I prefer to be called Cori,if you dont mind."
"Cori, perfect. Oh and these are my friends, Baily Guess" she pointed to the red-head. "And Tammy Dimes." she pointed to the blonde girl.
"Nice to meet you all."
"Uh, Baily,Tammy, I'll see guys tomorrow in class." Ella said.
"See you then, Ella," they said cheerful and left.
"So how you liking Winston? So far?" she asked with alittle laugh at the end.
"Well,it's nice. Dorms pretty spacious." I answered.
She laughed,"Yeah, they are. So what classes do you have?"

I nodded. We walked down to the caferteria building. Other students were coming and going. We got out dinner and went to sit with Ella's friends.
"You've already met Bailey and Tammy. This is Finn,Vincent and Penny.Everyone this is Cordeila Taylor. She prefers Cori." Ella introduced.
"Nice to meet you all." I said taking my seat.
Maybe this place wouldnt be so bad.
